Alien Fashion Show – Las Vegas – Premier Video

World Premier Alien Fashion Show video “Las Vegas” !!!!
See AFS live Friday Oct 18 at Fulton 55 Fresno CA & Saturday Oct 19 at The Viper Room Los Angeles, CA

AFS landed in 1996, and launched its debut album on Surfdog/Hollywood records in 1998. The space age combo played over 600 shows as both headliners and opening acts. The boys shook the rafters from The Warfield in San Francisco and The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, to Tipitina’s and House of Blues in New Orleans, to New York’s Museum of Modern Art….and everywhere between. Top on the Alien “coolest memories list” was their 1998 run as supporting act for The Brian Setzer Orchestra‘s “Dirty Boogie” tour, and band favorite hot spot, West Palm Beach’s yearly outdoor concert The Buzz 103.1 “Bake Sale.”

These cats got around. AFS played Gene Simmons’ (KISS) birthday party (twice), author Anne Rice’s Halloween parties, John Travolta’s Britania Award party, American Film Institute’s Golden Globes Awards after-party, and (then) California Governor Gray Davis inaugural and birthday parties – not to mention layin’ down the tunes and zany swing moves for none other than Hef and his fabby girls.

In 1998 AFS and Hollywood Records set precedent by being the first major label act to endorse the “new” MP3 technology. AFS sat down for an interview with MP3.com CEO Michael Robertson, and was featured on the home page of MP3.com, generating over 10,000 downloads in the first week alone. They appeared on MTV, VH1, and M2, and were featured on the Ru-Paul Show and in the Disney movie “Alley Cats Strike“. Their sounds can be heard on the soundtracks of MTV’s “Road Rules,” Nintendo’s “Knockout Kings 2000” video game, Parthenon Films’ “The Thin Pink Line,” and on compilation albums “Next Generation Swing,” “Swing This Baby,” and “Swing Sucks.” Elvis has left the building, but current publishing digits show that earthlings across the planet are still experiencing AFS via radio airplay, satellite and internet stations, and credits for film and television including Japan, Australia, Columbia, South Africa, Europe and beyond.

Today – after a ten plus year retirement, AFS has just finished recording an album at 4th Street Recording in Santa Monica, of re-recorded songs from the 98′ release along with new tunes, soon to be available via all download sites including itunes & amazon. A CD & special addition vinyl are in the works as well as licensing of the tunes for TV & Film through BabsBoys Music publishing (BMI)

Have your favorite mixologist shake up a perfect martini, sit back, and enjoy a cosmic stroll down memory lane – and get your sharkskin suits & cocktail dresses ready, cause the Aliens are back! Don’t for get to tell your friends…
